Any change can be upsetting for children, and we will be making some gentle changes to your routine. The way in which children communicate their frustration or upset (particularly babies who are yet to develop language skills), is through crying. All babies and young children cry, this is normal and necessary. However, there is no need for them to cry alone. With the tools that I can provide you with and the love that you have for your child, we can team up and support them through the process towards a healthy sleep routine that leaves them (and you!!) feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world!
As you know, there is so much information online, some of it conflicting. How do you know what to trust? And how do you know if it's right for your child? Every child is different and when it comes to sleep coaching, a tailored solution to your child and your sleep goals is imperative.
Absolutely not! I would never suggest anything that parents feel uncomfortable in doing. My approach is gentle, supportive and soothing and I always work to the parents' personal sleep goals, whatever they may be. That's not to say that your child will never cry during the process though but I encourage parents to support their children through times of sadness or frustration. I try to remind parents that crying is temporary but good, healthy sleep habits are so valuable!
Many children are looked after by multiple people or in multiple environments. Whilst we cannot always control these factors, we can work together to achieve great results. Sometimes it may just take a little longer to achieve the desired results but with the right techniques, I am certain you can achieve your end goal.
Unfortunately nobody can guarantee perfection! I am however, very confident in the sleep solution methods that I use. By tweaking routines, making slight amendments here and there and by being consistent, I am positive that you will soon see significant improvements to your child's sleep patterns.
